Reflection on Yousef’s presentation

Introduction:

 Yousef began his presentation by giving us the medical definition of diabetes and he showed us a device that measures diabetes from blood.

He then mentioned the causes and the consequences of diabetes that happen after a long time.

The solution was nice; he covered all of it in a nice way and the best solution is regular checkups.

Both body language and eye contact were good.

Everybody was active with him because they were afraid.

New things which I learnt:

Diet is eating everything but in a proper way.

To avoid that problem is to exercise for 60 minutes daily.

Introduction:

·         It was clear and the idea was organized.

What (new) did I learn?

·         The first Motor Wagon (1886) worked by gasoline.

·         The first driver license for car was created in 1888.

·         The first bus was made in 1895 under the name of Netperes.

·         The gasoline was used as a medical tool for cleaning.

Slides:

·         Were nice and the information was useful.

Body language and eye contact:

·         They were good, but they want same practice.

Fielding Questions:

·         They answered most of the questions so that was pretty good.

Overall impression:

·         It was a nice presentation for the first effort.

My Own Reflection for traffic and parking issues at the college.

My own reflection

After we discussed the agenda for traffic and parking issues at the college my opinion as a chairman and the rest of our team are, starting with the parking issue, to organize the student schedule, make the parking wider, have a new building for cars and Mawaqif parking. Secondly with the security staff the first solution is giving them training, permission to give tickets or we should bring new professional staff. The last agenda is student carelessness and the solution is to make same strong rules and give them a traffic awareness campaign.

After a long discussion, the best solution, we decided, was to have a new campus.

The chairman old Ahmed opened the meeting at 10:40

v  Traffic

Ahmed says there is no parking in the college, and the parking entrance is small. He says also the college should prepare the schedules to take half of the students in the morning and another half in the afternoon.  Old Ahmed says that it’s not fair to study evenings. Old Ahmed says that many cars are scraped because of the small parking space so there is no way to move.

v  Parking

Old Ahmed says many people face the same problem (no parking). New Ahmed says the parking spaces are very small. Some people have a big car so it’s a problem in the parking. Ali says the ADMC have to build 5 or 6 floor parking. New Ahmed says they can’t because there is no time to do it and while they will do it where will the students park. Ali says so they have to build a new building for the college.

v  Accidents

The cars get scratched because of the small parking space or the big cars.

v  Security staff

Old Ahmed says that the security staffs are stupid. They can’t do anything. They can’t solve problems and organize the cars. We should give them permission to give tickets and give them training programs.

v  Student carelessness

Sometimes they did something wrong. We should get the police to control them.

In conclusion we thought that the college should:

1.       Organize the parking or build new parking or a new college building.

2.       Get the Mawaqif system in the college.

3.       Get the police in the college.

4.       Build a new University City.

5.       Build a new college with rooms for the teachers and for the foreign students.

Position: electrical engineer at Emirates Steel Industrial

 Mr. Hedley starts the interview with Ali by asking him about himself. Then Salem asked about his goals. Ali said to become an important person in the company and country. Do you have any experience? Ali was trained with ADNOC for two months.

Ali’s question was how is the company doing? Salem said it’s one of the best companies in the Gulf region. Also he asked about continuing his career (master’s degree). Yousef said yes you can and the company will support you, but after doing well at work.

Position: electrical engineer at ADNOC

After welcoming from Mr. Hedley, Ayoob started his interview by introducing himself to the committee and he had training for one month at EMAL.

Salem asked Ayoob about where he studied his major. Ayoob said “at ADMC in Abu Dhabi with 3.7. How about salary? He said around 35000 Dhs.

When Yousef started asking questions the first question was what do you think of our company? The answer was good from Ayoob and he proved it by giving the committee a good reason. The reason was his brother and two friends are still working at the company.

Ayoob asked Yousef what his position would be. He said you are going to be an electrical engineer and Ayoob preferred to work in the workshop to improve his skills.

Position: electrical engineer at Masder

Mr. Hedley welcomed Yousef for coming to the interview. Abdullah asked Yousef about hobbies and goals? Yousef likes playing video games. And his goal is to be a manager.

Mohammed asked him about working under pressure? His answer was “Yes”. Then Mohammed asked Yousef another question; the question was how much he expected his salary to be. He said between Dhs 30-40,000.

Yousef asked the committee about his position in the company. Abdullah answered him and the company will test Yousef to see where to put him.
